Wedding Catering that Feels Effortless, Beautiful, and Truly You
A Catered Affair has provided full-service wedding catering across Nashville and Middle Tennessee for nearly 30 years, designing menus, staffing events, and creating dining experiences that couples and their guests remember long after the wedding day.
From elevated cocktail hour stations to beautifully styled dinner service, we help create a wedding experience that feels seamless for you and unforgettable for your guests. Whether your style is classic, modern, romantic, or entirely your own, our team guides every detail so you can spend less time worrying and more time being present.
Every love story deserves to feel Seen, Respected, and Celebrated.
We proudly serve couples of all identities, backgrounds, family structures, and traditions, whether you are planning a traditional wedding, an LGBTQ+ celebration, a multicultural event, or something entirely your own. We begin by listening, and we build from there.

What Couples are Saying
“I couldn’t be more impressed with the outstanding service they provided. From the very beginning, they went above and beyond to ensure that our catering needs and budget were met with care and precision.”
Darya
“The way I felt cared for went above and beyond what I would have expected out of a caterer. What’s more, the staff day-of ensured throughout the day that we were taken care of, and the food was so wonderful our guests continue to compliment us on it.”
Carley
“Kellie and her team are exceptional. She met with me and catered the menu to my specific group and situation. The team was professional and the presentation was beautiful. And the taste. My goodness. So delicious.”

Pricing & Your Custom Proposal
Every wedding is different, so we build each proposal around your guest count, menu preferences, service style, and overall experience goals — not a one-size-fits-all package.

What Your Proposal Includes
- Food and beverage selections based on your preferences
- Professional staffing for setup, service, guest flow, and cleanup
- Rentals or disposables calculated to fit your guest count and service style
- Buffet, station, and service equipment
- Event Operations Fee (18–21%), which covers planning consultations, timeline coordination, food station styling, service décor, equipment, and setup and cleanup logistics
We carefully calculate staffing and rentals so you are not paying for unnecessary extras or risking service gaps on your wedding day.
Typical Investment
Most couples who work with A Catered Affair invest between $30 and $60+ per guest, depending on guest count, menu selections, and service style. Food selections are the largest variable in final pricing.
Revisions & Refinements
It is completely normal for plans to evolve. We are happy to work through revisions until the final proposal feels aligned with your vision and your budget.
Why Couples Value This Approach
You are not paying for a generic package. You are receiving a proposal built intentionally around what will work best for your guests, your setting, and the experience you want to create.
Tastings
Choosing your menu should feel exciting, not stressful. We offer several tasting options so you can explore flavors, presentation, and the overall guest experience in a way that fits your planning timeline.
Complimentary Tasting

After booking, couples may schedule a complimentary private tasting of their selected menu once the proposal and menu direction are finalized. This allows us to fine-tune selections, service style, and presentation details before wedding day.
Hosted Tasting Events

Throughout the year, we offer complimentary hosted dinner tastings where couples can experience our food, service style, and presentation firsthand. This is a great way to get a feel for the overall guest experience before making any decisions.
Private Mini Tasting

For couples who would like a more personalized tasting experience before booking, we offer an exclusive private mini tasting for $400 per couple. This option is designed to give you a feel for our flavor profile, presentation style, and overall approach as you continue exploring what feels right for your wedding.

Cocktails & Mocktails
At many events, mocktails get treated like an afterthought — juice in a glass with a garnish added at the end. That’s not how we approach them.
We’ve been serving spirit-free drinks for years, well before the recent shift toward lower-alcohol events. Our team spends real time working through flavors, syrups, garnishes, glassware, and presentation so the drinks feel just as complete as the cocktails beside them.
We use fresh citrus, premium mixers, specialty ice, infused syrups, herbs, fruit, custom stir sticks, and presentation pieces that fit the overall style of the event. Whether it’s a seasonal signature cocktail or a zero-proof drink for cocktail hour, we want guests carrying something that tastes good and looks like it belongs there.

Our Process
Discovery Call
We begin with a real conversation about your wedding, your priorities, your favorite foods, and how you want your guests to feel. This is not a sales script. It is a conversation designed to help us understand what matters most to you.
Proposal & Menu Planning
We create a customized proposal built around your guest count, style, service preferences, and overall experience goals. Whether you are envisioning elegant stations, a beautifully styled buffet, or plated dinner service, we help shape the experience around what feels most like you.
Refinements
As plans evolve, we are happy to adjust menu selections, guest count assumptions, service style, and logistics so the final proposal continues to align with your vision.
Wedding Day
Our team arrives early, handles setup, manages service flow, cares for your guests, and handles cleanup — so you can stay present with your people and enjoy every moment of the celebration.

Frequently Asked Questions
Do you provide sample menus?
Yes. We have sample menus for brunch, dinner buffet, plated service, and afternoon receptions. We also love building completely custom menus from scratch based on your discovery call.
Can you handle dietary restrictions?
Absolutely. Vegetarian, vegan, dairy-free, gluten-free, nut allergies, and more. Every guest gets something delicious on their plate, and accommodations are handled with the same care and presentation as everything else.
Do you offer bar service?
Yes. We hold a full liquor license and handle everything: alcohol, mixers, bar fruit, bar tools, chilling vessels, cocktail napkins, and a complete professional bar setup with certified bartenders.
Are you licensed and insured?
Fully licensed, insured, and certified to work at the finest venues in Nashville.
Do you charge more because it’s a wedding?
No. We price based on guest count, day of week, season, and booking status. Never because it’s a wedding.
How far in advance should I book?
As soon as possible, especially for peak season dates. Your date is not reserved until we have your signed agreement and first payment.
What is your Event Operation Fee?
Our Event Operation Fee ranges from 18 to 21% and covers planning consultations, administrative work, custom decor for buffets and food stations, and all catering equipment. Service staff fees are separate.
Do you work with wedding planners?
Yes, and we love it. We coordinate directly with your planner on timelines, logistics, and any venue-specific requirements. If you don’t have a planner, we help build a timeline that keeps your reception on track.
What venues do you work at?
We’re experienced at venues throughout Nashville and Middle Tennessee and always open to new locations. If you have a venue in mind, reach out and we’ll talk through the logistics. View more about our favorite venues here.
What happens if my guest count changes?
Final guest count is due 14 days before your wedding. Changes before that point can be accommodated, though they may affect pricing. We’ll work through any adjustments with you.
What if something goes wrong on the day?
It won’t derail your event. Our team has protocols for every scenario and the experience to handle anything quietly and efficiently so your guests never notice.
