Nashville weddings are traditionally seen as an evening activity, ceremony in the late afternoon then to dinner and drinks and then a flashy dance party. That can definitely be one fantastic party and for most Nashville brides that is the dream, but I know there are some brides out there that would go for something more unique and (dare I say) even trendy! The brunch wedding trend is a fantastic one, and I think it’s one that is not only here to stay but one that is also absolute FABulous!

Just think of all the incredible food you could have! When I picture a brunch wedding, I see bars, lots of bars and stations! Have a pancake station, with every topping you can think of! Have an interactive waffle or omelet station where a chef cooks a treat special for each guest! If your ceremony starts mid-morning, how fun would it be to have a coffee cart before the ceremony?! And don’t think I forgot about the other kind of bar either- stations would be perfect for making your own Bloody Mary’s and mimosas! This type of reception keeps guests up and active and mingling, but it is also a great way to save money by still being able to have great food and booze without quite as high of a ticket!

A brunch wedding is perfect for a casual, more relaxed bride! I have seen the most beautiful flowing dresses that would look stunning in the morning sun. You can wear your hair down in loose curls or in one of those beautiful loose up-dos! Speaking of lighting, you will not have to worry at all about running out of time for photos because you have the whole day and could even take more after the reception so that you have more time to spend with your guests. Brunch weddings are perfect for those beautiful wildflower bouquets and flower headbands you have been eyeing on Pinterest! You can also offer your guests something fun to do, by having cornhole boards made with your new last name, with your team on them, or anything that fits your personality! Many guests don’t typically dance at weddings and this is an awesome chance for them to still have fun at your Nashville wedding!

Oh, and one more thing! How wonderful would it be to able to leave for your honeymoon the same day as your wedding, and wake up in paradise the day after ready for total relaxation?
